Beaches are to be found on the south coast. Looe offers a sandy beach popular with families. To the west of Looe is Hannafore, which is a rocky beach, good for rock pools and fishing. You can travel further afield to reach the more rugged North Atlantic coast completely different in contrast.
On the edge of Bodmin Moor is Siblyback Lake, which is ideal for sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. A four-mile walk will take you all around this reservoir where you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity. For golf enthusiasts, the famous Jack Nicklaus golf course, St Mellion, is only 10 minutes drive away. Or why not explore the restored Victorian mining village at Morwhellam Quay.
Callington has a wide variety of places to eat, including historic pubs and a selection of restaurants, some that have won national awards. The nationally famous Ginsters provide the traditional Cornish pasty.
