Readymoney bay is a small gently sloping sandy beach. It is situated in a cove sheltered by cliffs which open out on to the mouth of the River Fowey Estuary. To the North it is bounded by the medieval part of the Fowey. To the South West is St Catherine's Castle. Close by is the secluded Lantic Bay, a beautiful cove with white sands.
Fowey is a perfect place for walking. Hall Walk is by far the most popular of the estuary walks. It is a circular walk that follows the banks of the river and utilises both ferries, via Bodinnick, Pont creek and Polruan. The Saints Way traverses the county from Padstow to Fowey. It links many of the holy places associated with Celtic saints from the 5th & 7th Century and is approximately 30 miles in distance.
If you are looking for refreshments then there is a great choice of traditional pubs, cafés, quaint tea-rooms, fish ’n’ chip shops or restaurants.
