Visit the 865 acre Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, with superb views over Plymouth and Drakes Island. The magnificent house was rebuilt after the original was destroyed in the blitz and the beautiful gardens, orangery and parkland offer many lovely relaxing walks.
Cawsand and Kingsand beaches are sheltered sand and shingle beaches with lots of rock pools to explore. Both beaches are a perfect haven for swimming, sailing, windsurfing and gig racing. Whitsand Bay to the south side of Rame is the best family beach with a four mile stretch of sandy beach accessible by cliff paths. Ideal for surfing and shore fishing or even dive below the surface and explore the HMS Scylla, an artificial diving reef.
A daily passenger ferry is available from Cawsand to Plymouth which takes approximately half an hour.
Local eateries include an Inn and fish & chip shop, however neighbouring villages offer a wider choice.
