Nestled in a small valley, along the edge of Exmoor National Park and with the dramatic backdrop of the Hangman Hills looming above, Combe Martin offers some of the most spectacular scenery on the North Devon coast.
With stunning views across the bay and with a pretty harbour, this small and peaceful cove has changed very little over the years. A large expanse of sand is accessible at low tide, making Combe Martin an ideal location for families and with a range of activities on offer; you won't be short of things to do.
Kids can spend hours exploring rock pools and building castles along the golden stretch of sand, or for those with a fearless sense of adventure, the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is situated close by; there's a variety of animals on display and the animatronic Dinosaurs offer a spine-tingling glimpse into the past...
Walkers can enjoy awe-inspiring views along the coastal paths, or for those preferring to travel by car, there are many viewing points with easy parking facilities. A good range of amenities are within easy reach too.
Combe Martin's main street stretches for over two miles and is widely regarded as the longest street in Britain. Offering a diverse range of shops, cafés and inns, it's also home to the famous Pack o' Cards Inn. Built in 1626 by George Ley of Marwood to celebrate his large win at cards, the building is said to resemble a pack of cards in a heap.
