Known as the “Gateway to Exmoor” this flourishing market town is ideally situated between the spectacular North Devon coastline and the stunning Exmoor National Park. The town square is surrounded by unspoilt local shops, as it has done for many years, and a popular pannier market operates twice weekly, where locally grown produce and quality meats are on offer.

Places of interest include a honey farm, the largest in the country, and where you can watch the bees working their magic, a museum with an array of interesting artifacts of bygone eras, and a climbing centre.
