Short Breaks


Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Please remember that all short break enquiries have to be checked prior to booking, simply find your perfect cottage, get in touch and we will help finalise your enquiry either email or phone our Reservation Team .

Positioned centrally in the Higher Moors of Dartmoor National Park, Princetown offers the opportunity of some fantastic walks, and with some breathtaking scenery and an abundance of wildlife, makes this destination the perfect retreat for those who want to get away and experience what the countryside truly has to offer.

At 1,400ft above sea level, the small village of Princetown is the highest village on Dartmoor.

Take a trip to the High Moorland Visitor centre where you can observe the recorded history, culture and wildlife of Dartmoor, and with the gallery exhibition constantly changing, there is always something new to see and do.

This small village is also home to one of Britain’s most infamous prisons, HMP Dartmoor. Once home to some of the most dangerous and notorious criminals, Dartmoor prison is steeped in ancient history and folklore, with eerie tales of ghosts from previous inmates still being seen amongst the wide, rocky, windswept tors.
