Totnes

Totnes holidays

The second oldest borough in England, the charming Devon village of Totnes enjoys a prominent position on the river Dart. Known as Devon’s gem, this small town is reaming with colour and character, stemming from a rich cultural background and historical and archaeological heritage.

Seated in between a valley, Totnes plays home to woodland trails, large grassy fields and riverside walks, the perfect place to wind down and get away from it all.

About Totnes

Totnes

Take your own sea adventure and hop aboard a boat trip to the magnificent town of Dartmouth, explore the ancient history of this town. Take time to discover the ‘Leechwells’; hidden in the narrow streets at the top of town, sit three ancient wells believed to have healing medicinal properties, or uncover the legend of Brutus and his claim to naming the town.

Shop amongst the pleasant specialist boutiques, or take a trip on a steam train to the land of lubbers (Buckfastleigh). Totnes and Berry Pomeroy Castle offer something to see and do for all ages. Before you leave, take a few moments to admire the east gate arch and end your day with some local food in one of the many pubs, cafes and restaurants
