Further West, long sandy beaches and coastal resorts contrast the dramatic rocky Exmoor coastline. Burnham-on-Sea famous for its unique nine-legged lighthouse and seven miles of sandy beach is a thriving market town with a mix of traditional and high street shops or Weston Super Mare a traditional beach holiday resort with seaside attractions, indoor and outdoor markets and a host of fairs.

With a rich diversity of museums and galleries to gardens and attractions all within easy reach, the Georgian city of Bath has so much to offer. It has an enviable year-round calendar of festivals, theatre, musical & sporting events.

Nestling in the Mendip Hills is Cheddar, famous for its cheese and The Gorge. More southerly, England’s smallest city, Wells, has a beautiful cathedral, famed for its magnificent West front, featuring over 300 statues and carvings.

The Quantocks are a must for visitors with stunning vistas and deep ‘combes’. Renowned for its rich flora and fauna set against stunning views across Somerset and the Severn Estuary to South Wales and beyond.

Further South, you will be delighted by the quaint villages and stately houses built with honey-coloured stone. At the foot of the unspoilt Blackdown hills is the historical town of Chard, home of the Wildlife Park at Cricket St. Thomas.
