Most of the time our holiday properties book out for the Full week (7 nights), however there are times during some Off Peak periods or last minute where Short Breaks may be arranged with certain properties. They can be either 3, 4, 5 or 6 nights and are priced accordingly. Wellington perches on the fringes of the Blackdown Hills which are an area of outstanding natural beauty, visitors will be able to enjoy walking, cycling and riding through this varied and interesting landscape with a selection of country Inns to visit along the way.

The market town of Wellington has a good selection of shops and amenities with the Bristol/Exeter railway running through the parish.

Its location is perfect for exploring the fascinating counties of both Devon and Somerset with the border being just five miles away. From here you will be well positioned to visit the Devonshire towns of Tiverton and Honiton and Somerset towns of Taunton and Yeovil.

Those of you that seek the shores of the southwest will find an easy route to the coast with close access to the M5 from the town. The south coast offers Lyme-Regis, West Bay and Sidmouth, the North Devon coast offers a large selection of sandy beaches and Burnham-on-Sea beach is accessed from junction 22 of the M5 on the north Somerset coast.

Wellington has eleven pubs and ten restaurants serving traditional, American and Indian food. The town also has three fish and chip shops and a handful of café/bars. A few convenience stores can be found in Wellington along with Woolworths, florists, off license, newsagents, pharmacies and a supermarket.

Why not keep yourself active whilst visiting Wellington by visiting the Wellington Sports Centre and Pool that offers a 25m pool, sports hall, Upper Hall, Steam Room/sauna, fitness studio, squash courts and crèche.

Many good golf courses can be enjoyed in Taunton, which is only 6 miles from Wellington, where you will find a local bowling club and cinema.

Crealy Adventure Park near Exeter in Devon is packed with a huge range of activities and adventures to explore, Crealy is one of Devons most popular tourist attractions. Diggerland is a unique adventure park where you will be able to learn about and drive diggers of all kinds! The park is only a 25 minute drive from Wellington. The award winning Wellington Park has a perfect setting for walkers with beautiful nature trails and lakeside walks, the park has a play area for children and dogs are welcome. The Blackdown Hills are excellent for walkers and are also the home of the Wellington Monument, a 175 foot column that can be seen for miles around. Hestercombe Gardens nestle in a 40 acre valley with lakes, woodland and fascinating views to be seen.

Wellington Museum explores and displays the importance of the woollen industry and past events of the town. Sheppys Cider farm is located in Taunton just a 15 minute drive away with over 200 years of cider making history to explore, licensed tea room, picnic and children’s play area and nature walks.

The Devon County Show is an annual event that is held in May with agricultural classes, shopping, crafts, food and drink and many entertaining displays. The Taunton Carnival has an array of exciting and interesting entries to view on the route around Taunton, the event is held in October.
