This sumptuous Lodge, with its timber log-roll external finish, is set in the idyllic Quantock Hills and is 1.5 miles from the coast. It makes for the perfect retreat for those wishing to enjoy some of the best that Somerset has to offer: open moorland, ancient wooded combes, fascinating and diverse coastal reaches and local village conveniences.

Designed and furnished to the highest standard and with many small touches that make it a wonderful place to stay for both couples and families alike, including dogs. The outlook from the property is peaceful and rural. From the raised garden/paddock above it, the far reaching sea views are quite fantastic. The village of Kilve is 1 mile from the property and has a pub/restaurant, Post Office and village store. The larger village of Williton, 5 miles away, has a range of shops restaurants and several pubs. There are a variety of places to visit further afield, such as the West Somerset Steam Railway, Dunster Castle or the seaside town of Minehead. There are also several quiet bays with sandy coves within a short drive and many accept dog walkers all year round. With the Quantock Hills, quite literally on your doorstep, you are spoilt for choice, be it walking the famed Coleridge Way, mountain biking, horse riding or having a romantic picnic in the owner's 4 acre plantation.

Stabling: horses welcome (stabling can be provided for an additional cost please enquire). Amenities: ample off-road parking. Central heating with underfloor heating. Secure bike racks. 3 dogs welcome. Regret no smoking. Additional info: hot and cold water taps and hose outside for wet paws and muddy bikes. Sister property COLRD can be booked if you require easier accessibility to the property. Location: within an A.O.N.B Area, beach 1.5 miles, pub and shop 1 mile. Arrival: 3.30pm

This well-appointed log cabin, which is accessed via five quite steep steps, provides 5 star accommodation and offers TWO bedrooms: both a good size. The master bedroom has a beautiful romantic canopied king-size bed and french windows leading to the lawn. The other has twin beds. Both bedrooms provide zip-and-link mattresses (alternative bed set up is available on request) flatscreen TVs with DVD and luxurious en-suite shower rooms with dressing robes and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: spacious open-plan living area with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams in the sitting area. Comfortable seating (one of which is available as a sofa bed on request), flatscreen TV, DVD, iPod dock and woodburner (first basket of logs provided). Dining table seating 6 people. Bespoke kitchen, granite work-surfaces, American style fridge/freezer, electric oven with hob, wine fridge, dishwasher, microwave and insinkerator hot tap. Utility: washer/dryer, space for wellies, bikes and coats. Outside: large covered veranda, garden, patio area, raised garden/paddock, BBQ and garden furniture.

Can be booked with sister properties COLRD and QUANT for extra capacity.

Dogs are charged at £20.00 per week per dog or £3.00 per day per dog for short breaks.
