The Somerset Levels and moors of ‘willow country’ are an atmospheric wetland between The Quantock and Mendip Hills. An area where many traditional skills such as willow basket making have been a way of life for hundreds of years. Visit the mysterious Glastonbury Tor, rising out of the Somerset Levels like a beacon.
Nestling in the Mendip Hills is Cheddar famous for its cheese and The Gorge. More southerly, England’s smallest city, Wells, has a beautiful cathedral, famed for its magnificent west front, featuring over 300 statues and carvings.
