Brook Cottage is a charming detached property situated on the fringes of Exmoor National Park in a small pretty hamlet of Tolland. It makes a perfect rural retreat for those wishing to enjoy the peace and seclusion of the surrounding countryside, yet its central location makes it an ideal base for a touring holiday in the West Country. Within a half-an-hours drive is a contrast of places to visit including Taunton, Dunster Castle, the seaside town of Minehead and several small quiet bays. Across a narrow access track to a church and fields is a grassed sitting area sloping to a small brook, whilst across the lane, the enclosed garden has use of a portable BBQ, offering privacy and alfresco eating. The cottage has been carefully decorated and furnished in fresh bright colours with much attention gone into making your stay extremely comfortable.
The first floor accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 spacious double bedroom with handbasin and TV and 1 twin bedroom. On the ground floor: well equipped kitchen with Aga (included from September to May), electric cooker, microwave, fridge/ freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer are located in the garage. Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Cosy beamed sitting/dining room with log burner, TV, Freeview and DVD, hi-fi with a selection of CDs. Phone available by honesty box. Parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, towels, hot water and night storage heating included. Electric (lights and appliances) extra but first £5 included. Regret no smoking. 2 medium dogs welcome. Pet owners will be required to pay a £75 security deposit payable direct to the owner on arrival, this will be refunded within a week of departing the property and leaving it all in good order. Stairgate fitted in the property. Shops and pubs 4-6 miles, Minehead’s sandy beach 14 miles. Arrival time 4pm. |
