This larger than normal self-contained wing of a 17th century farmhouse is situated in the Sedgemoor Levels. A perfect base from which to explore places of interest such as the elegance of Bath, the city of Wells with its famous Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. Stourhead and numerous National Trust properties, Cricket St Thomas and Longleat, and several sandy and dramatic coastlines are within easy reach. The Somerset Levels are a wonderful walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching area, a designated site of Special Scientific Interest.
The accommodation comprises THREE bedrooms: 1 large double with single bed, 1 double room, and 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, one of which is 2'6". Bathroom with bath and WC. Shower room with WC. Downstairs there are 2 lounges, one is a large room with a TV, Freeview, DVD and video and has french doors onto a patio and large enclosed lawned garden. The other lounge has an inglenook fireplace with woodburner, TV, DVD and can be used for reading, watching another TV programme, listening to the hi-fi or playing the piano. There is a large well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer and food processor. Large utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and plenty of storage room. There is a stairgate for small children. Ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels and electric included. Central heating included in winter months (small charge in summer months if required). Initial complimentary basket of logs is included, but coal is at extra cost. Regret no pets. Advance grocery orders by arrangement. Beach 30 minutes, riding 8 miles, golf 6 miles, shop and pub 2 miles. Arrival time 3pm. |
