This delightfully refurbished former village shop and post office is positioned in the centre of this picturesque Polden Hills village on the Somerset Levels renowned for walking and birdwatching in tucked away hides. For those who wish to tour the area, there is a wealth of popular beaches, attractions, and many National Trust properties and gardens. Cheddar Gorge, Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park, Clarks Village at Street, Wookey Hole, the Quantock Hills, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, and Bath are all less than an hours drive away. Situated between the North and South coasts, you are within easy reach of a variety of beaches Burnham-On-Sea, Minehead, Lyme Regis and Seaton. The village includes a 12th century church, family pub serving good food and craft centre which includes a pottery and glass blowing.
The accommodation has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished to a high standard offering ONE twin bedroom that can be made into a double on request. Shower room with WC. Well-equipped modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Lounge/diner with 1 double sofa bed, TV and woodburner (coal and logs by arrangement with the owners). Patio area with seating. Use of large, very pretty gardens with outside seating and BBQ. Sheds for storage. Parking is next to the cottage on a quiet village lane. Bed linen included. Electric £10 per week and £2 per day for night storage heating. Logs provided for woodburner, coal available by arrangement. Non-smokers preferred.
