The Admirals House is a splendid Grade II listed detached Georgian house in the centre of Bath. It was originally built to provide luxury accommodation for wealthy people seeking to take the waters in Bath. With the newly opened Bath Spa it is again possible to experience the delights that brought people to Bath 250 years ago with a vast array of spa treatments on offer. The house has recently been restored to its former grandeur and offers country house style accommodation for 14 people. The Admirals House is only 5 minutes from Milsom Street, the main shopping street in Bath, and the many fine restaurants. The Theatre Royal is about 10 minutes walk and has a full season of plays. Why not stay during one of the many festivals held throughout the year such as the Bath Literary Festival, Bath Music Festival, Bath Fringe, Bath Film Festival or the Mozart Festival. The accommodation offers SEVEN bedrooms: 1 twin bedroom on the ground floor with access to a shower room and WC. The first floor offers 1 double room and access to a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The second floor offers 3 twin bedrooms with access to a bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. The fourth floor is approached via steep cottage-style stairs and offers 2 double bedrooms. The living accommodation is arranged over three floors and offers two kitchens; the kitchen on the second floor is convenient for late night snacks and a lazy breakfast with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a table to seat 6. The smaller kitchen with the traditional Aga, fridge, freezer and dishwasher is on the ground floor and services the dining room that seats 14. On the first floor is the main lounge with plasma TV, Sky, DVD and hi-fi and a small second lounge/study. There is free roadside parking about 200 yards outside the city zone, but it is possible to unload outside the property. Roadside parking only (some is by meter). Bed linen, electric and central heating included. Wireless broadband available. Regret no pets. Bath has good public transport with trains running every 20 minutes to London and Bristol airport is a 45 minute drive. Shops and restaurants all walking distance. Arrival time 3pm.
