The Bays Farmhouse is a charming 130 year old detached farmhouse situated in the heart of Cheddar village at the foot of the world famous Cheddar Gorge. The caves are just 300 metres from the cottage which is situated next to Frank's restaurant and opposite The White Hart, a quiet village pub popular with walkers and cavers. Cheddar lies in the heart of the Mendips, an area renowned for walking and beautiful scenery. The historic towns of Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury and Wells are also close by and much of the West Country is easily accessible. The nearest sandy beach of Burnham-on-Sea is a 25 minute drive and the popular Clarks Village outlet shopping centre is just 20 minutes away. Locally there are many activities on offer including cycling, mountain biking, go-karting, fishing, golf, horse riding, quad biking, dry slope skiing, tobogganing, rock climbing, abseiling, caving - not to forget tasting the local cheese and cider!

The accommodation retains character features and offers FOUR bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and WC, a second double and 2 twin bedrooms that can be made into doubles on request. Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. There is a separate WC downstairs. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and utility with washing machine and tumble dryer. Dining room. Lounge with gas-effect woodburner, TV and DVD. There is a further reception room with TV, DVD, Xbox and sofa bed to provide facilities for two further guests. This leads to the conservatory and the enclosed rear garden with BBQ facilities. There is also a front garden and a large lockable garage can be used to safely store bicycles, etc. Parking for 4 cars. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. 2 dogs welcome, additional dogs by arrangement. Babysitting can be arranged if booked in advance. Beach 10 miles, shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance.
