The Hive and Bees Cottage are situated on a working farm in a truly delightful setting and are set within a quiet courtyard with their own private gardens. Both properties sleep up to four and have been renovated to a high standard with a lot of care and attention gone into every detail to make your stay extremely comfortable. Privacy is assured but a warm welcome is extended to visitors who would like to watch the milking and meet the cows and calves when the season is right. In the immediate vicinity is an abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery, footpaths and picture-postcard villages, many with traditional country pubs. Its central location makes it an ideal base to explore both Somerset and Devon where there are many lovely places and attractions to visit which include historic Exeter, Wimbleball Reservoir with its boating and fishing, Cricket St Thomas, and many National Trust properties and gardens. The historic market town of Taunton is just 5 miles with all the top names in shopping, eating and drinking.
For both properties cars can be unloaded in the courtyard but a separate parking area is just a minutes walk. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included but central heating extra November- Easter. Shop 2.5 miles. 3 good pubs within a mile (10 minute cross-country walk), beach 40 minute drive (Sidmouth).
The accommodation offers TWO en-suite bedrooms: On the ground floor is 1 twin bedroom that can be made into a double room on request with an en-suite shower room with WC. The first floor offers a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over and WC. Off the hallway is a small area housing the washing machine. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is situated on the first floor and makes for easy sociable living with a TV, DVD and hi-fi. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice box and dishwasher. Enclosed garden to the rear of the property with both a paved and grassed area, outside seating and a BBQ. Regret no smoking or pets. Stairgates available. Baby sitting service available.
