This detached barn offers excellent accommodation ideal for visiting many worthwhile attractions including Wookey Hole, Cricket St Thomas, Longleat, Clarks Village and the beautiful National Trust house and gardens of Stourhead. There are also many attractions in and around Sherborne and good shopping opportunities at Yeovil. In the immediate vicinity is an abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery, footpaths and picture-postcard towns and villages.
The accommodation offers FIVE bedrooms: staircase to gallery with 3 double bedrooms all overlooking the orchards, doorway to a large landing that is a useful reading area and has 2 family bathrooms off both with a shower over bath and WC although 1 has a spa bath. Further large bedroom with 2 singles and bunk beds 'perfect for children' with a further doorway to a second staircase with a stairgate at the top where there is a 2' 6" bed, there is also an extra small open room with a 2' 6" bed, both are useful for children. The ground floor is tiled in Turkish limestone offering a further twin bedroom. Shower room with WC. Entrance hall with lots of room for wet coats. Long, very well-equipped kitchen that faces the orchards with oil-fired Rayburn, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and a smaller dining area. Dining room that can easily seat 12. Living room with an inglenook fireplace, woodburner, French oak flooring and panelling, underfloor heating, SkyTV, DVD and hi-fi. Sauna. Games room with table tennis and football table. Broadband wireless connection available. To the rear the barn looks out onto an orchard containing mainly eating and cooking apples. You are free to wander the orchards and there is a seating area with a BBQ and trampoline. All short breaks are charged at 85% of the weekly rate and additional children can be accommodated. Ample off-road parking. Bed linen, electric, logs and central heating included. 1 dog welcome. Lyme Regis beach a 45 minute drive, 2 good pubs within 1.5 miles and shops at Shepton Mallet 5 miles.
