Waterfront Farm Cottage is situated in the rural location of Biddisham, 2 miles from the A38, at the end of a country lane in the heart of Somerset countryside and alongside the River Axe which fronts the cottage. The historic towns and cities of Axbridge, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Wells, Taunton, Bath and Bristol are within good access by car or rail. The seaside towns of Burnham-On-Sea and Weston-Super-Mare are within 20 minute drive. The western edge of the Mendip Hills, known locally at Crooks Peak, rises to the east of the cottage, with the river at its base. The river is approximately 10 metres from the cottage patio. Across the valley, in the far distance, the modern imposition of the M5 motorway weaves across the landscape, bringing together the benefits of the 21st century within an otherwise hidden retreat. You will be ideally situated for a range of activities for anglers, with 250 metres of good river fishing at no extra charge. Horse riding, cycling, walking and golf are all nearby.

The accommodation offers ONE super-king-sized double bedroom that can be made into a twin on request with an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Cosy lounge/conservatory/dining room with TV, DVD and hi-fi and french doors opening onto the private enclosed garden which leads to the river. Kitchen with electric hob and oven, microwave and fridge with ice box. On-site washing and drying facilities and a freezer. Ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels, electric and full central heating included, but additional charge for heating from November to Easter (£12 per week or £2 per day). 1 dog welcome. Regret no babies in arms or toddlers. The owners will be pleased to arrange transport from either Highbridge or Weston-Super-Mare rail stations and arrange to deliver groceries and a choice of the best local takeaways subject to a small additional charge. Beach 7 miles, shop 3 miles and pub 2 miles.
