1 OF 2 PROPERTIES. 13 ACRES, HORSES, PONIES, DUCKS, CHICKENS, GEESE.

On Exmoor National Park and nestling on the slopes of the Brendon Hills, the farm is in a small hamlet at the head of probably the most beautiful "combe" in the area, known as the hidden valley. You can relax in the tranquillity and privacy of the accommodation, yet benefit from the proximity of Taunton and Minehead. The farm is approximately 20 minutes from the M5, J25. A short drive from the Somerset coast with its beaches at Dunster, Minehead and Blue Anchor, it is also close to the Devon border giving access to much of North Devon in addition to the enormous number and range of amenities in Somerset itself. There is a wealth of local attractions for adults and children alike, including the marina and wildlife park with its huge pirate ships at Watchet, the Norman castle at Dunster, windsurfing and sailing on Wimbleball reservoir, trips on Thomas the Tank Engine at West Somerset Steam Railway, cider farms, as well as the spectacular scenery and wildlife on Exmoor itself, best seen by taking a short safari. Among popular attractions within easy reach are Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, numerous adventure and animal parks, Clarks Village and Diggerland. Come rain or shine, there is no shortage of things to do or places to go- tourist information brochures provided. There are excellent local pubs, many with family rooms and some with outdoor play areas for young children. There is a good range of local shops (10 minutes).

Views from both cottages are to rolling green tree-lined fields and grazing sheep. Both cottages have their own gardens and there is a large outdoor grassed area, with swings, for family games. There is also an undercover play area for children. Riding on the property for small children can usually be arranged. You will be welcome to walk the farmland and children can help collect the eggs when the hens are in lay. Ample off-road parking. Bed linen and towels included. Regret no pets. Arrival time 3pm. Beach 15 minutes, pub 2 miles.

The accommodation is a large self-contained part of the main farmhouse, which is recorded as 16th century. The principal rooms are exceptionally spacious with THREE bedrooms: 1 large double, 1 adult bunk bedroom and 1 large twin with one extra matching single (to sleep 7 in total) available on request. Very large lounge/diner inset with log/coal burner, TV, video and DVD. Kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Utility with tumble dryer, freezer and washing machine. Bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC. Downstairs cloakroom with WC. The accommodation is double-glazed and has a stairgate. Part central heating extra. Electric by meter.

The other property at Whites Farm is WCIDE.
