The perfect base for walking and touring both Devon and Somerset. You are well placed for visiting beautiful Exmoor, popular with visitors for its walks, wonderful scenery and wildlife. There are numerous attractions close by which include several fishing lakes, Somerwest World at Minehead, West Somerset Steam Railway, Somerset County Cricket ground (12 miles away at Taunton), Oak Manor Golf course (5 miles), fishing at Clatworthy and Wimbleball reservoirs (3 and 7 miles respectively). Travel further afield to Exeter with its museums, leisure facilities, restaurants and high street shops or Tiverton Castle and Canal, various National Trust properties and gardens. The English Riviera and a variety of sandy family beaches are also a short drive away to the North and South.
