The historic towns and cities of Axbridge, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Taunton, Bath and Bristol are within good access by car or rail. The seaside towns of Burnham-On-Sea and Weston-Super-Mare are within 20 minute drive. The western edge of the Mendip Hills, known locally as Crooks Peak, rises to the east of the cottage, with the river at its base. In the far distance, the modern imposition of the M5 motorway weaves across the landscape, bringing together the benefits of the 21st century within an otherwise hidden retreat. You will be ideally situated for a range of activities, horse riding, cycling, walking and golf are all nearby. Leisure facilities: 250 metres of riverside walks on your doorstep with the river being approximately 10 metres from the cottage patio and for anglers there is good river fishing at no extra charge.
The accommodation is alongside the River Axe which fronts the cottage and offers ONE bedroom: super-king-size double that can be made into a twin on request with en-suite shower over bath and WC. Lounge/conservatory/diner: cosy room with TV, DVD, hi-fi and french doors. Kitchen: with electric hob and oven, microwave and fridge with ice box. Outside: private enclosed garden with new stepped pathway leading down to seated jetty and the river. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen, towels and electric included, but additional heating charge from 1 November to 30 April (£21 per week or £3 per night). 2 well behaved dogs welcome. Regret no smoking in the property. Additional info: on-site washing and drying facilities and a freezer. Regret no babies in arms or toddlers. Location: beach 7 miles, shop and pub 2.5 miles.
