What is an increased-access property?

Our cottages with increased accessibility have features that make them suitable for people with a wide range of requirements, from those who find stairs problematic to those who require full wheelchair access. Features include ground-floor bedrooms and bathrooms and wetrooms, wide corridors and doorways.

Whatever your accessibility needs, we have properties with a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom, as well as those with improved accessibility of varying degrees, from handrails in the bathroom to ramps and easy-access showers.

The whole family can enjoy a stay in our increased accessibility cottages and there's no need to leave your four-legged friends at home either, as many of our properties are dog friendly. If you have an assistance dog coming on your cottage holiday with you, make sure to let us know as your poochy pal can stay free of charge in any of our dog-friendly cottages.

What if I have a specific requirement?

We aspire to meet all customer requirements and therefore each cottage has a dedicated property manager who visits the property regularly to record an accurate and detailed description, as well as an access statement. So whether you want to know if a property has a gravel or tarmac drive or you need to know the exact width of the corridor, our Property team know our cottages inside and out and we can provide you with the right information to help you choose your perfect holiday cottage.

Our award-winning, easy-to-use website gives you the option to view properties by their facilities, such as a downstairs bedroom, downstairs bathroom or increased accessibility. If, however, you would prefer to speak with a member of our friendly reservations team, we are open seven days a week for a chat and will be only too happy to help you find the perfect property to suit your exact needs.

If you need anything extra, such as an advance delivery of oxygen or food for your stay, we can arrange that too.

What about getting out and about?

We also know that getting around with ease can be an important factor when choosing your holiday, and not just within the property but in the great outdoors as well. A stay in one of our self-catering holiday cottages with increased accessibility means you can enjoy your holiday without worrying about getting around, both inside the cottage and in the local area.

We include information about local amenities and attractions in our property descriptions, so you know just how far you need to travel to arrive at the nearest pub, shop or beach. Our handy map feature on the website will show you the location of your chosen property to help you plan days out for all the family. We also have a section of the website where you can log in and download vouchers for nearby attractions and save money on days out for the whole family.
