As well as taking a stroll through the vintage toys, kids will also enjoy the Mountfitchet Castle experience as well as a haunted manor and dinosaur exhibition.

Teapot Island, Maidstone, Kent

For something a little more obscure, why not make a trip to Kent to visit Teapot Island, home to nearly 7,000 teapots, many of which are one of a kind. If you fancy a memento from your day there is a shop full of unique gifts and you can enjoy a cream tea and a sit down in the café. For something a little more creative you can also buy a selection of paint your own pottery.
