The best Easter days out - a chocolate-themed break

Food and Drink

If you're stuck for ideas on what to do this Easter, we've got some great Easter holiday activities and chocolatey places to try. We know a thing or two about days out and chocolate so we’ve gathered together a selection of artisan chocolatiers, small factories, and the occasional shop, to inspire both your taste buds and wanderings this Easter. From things to do with the kids to indulgent treats just for grown-ups, we bring you our favourite Easter Activities across the UK.

Kernow Chocolate, Wadebridge, Cornwall

Kernow Chocolate has a wonderful visitor centre where you can witness their craft work in action - sit back and sip on one of their delicious hot chocolates as you watch. First established in 2005, their handmade chocolate bar range is very popular and easily identifiable by the St Pirran’s flag on the wrapper. During Easter, they have an impressive array of chocolate eggs and bunnies, one of the very best in Cornwall.

Come and stay in one of our cottages in Cornwall this Easter if you fancy a trip to this chocolate heaven.

York Cocoa House, York

Explore the magical world of chocolate in the heart of York. You'll not only be treated to sweet things here as absolutely everything is made with chocolate - even the breakfast and lunch menus! Our favourite is the Afternoon Chocolatada every Sunday where you can enjoy a mixture of both sweet and savoury delights. Watch chocolate demos as well as getting involved yourself with some choccy-making activities in the chocolate workshops - all different levels are catered for so whether you are an amateur or just want to hone your craft, this is the place to make it happen.

You'll want to stay somewhere close after indulging in all of these chocolate treats this Easter - have a look at our Easter cottages in Yorkshire to find the perfect property.

The Chocolate Deli, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk

The Chocolate Deli is a family run business that now attracts visitors from miles around with its Glitter and Mud range - it’s a heaven for chocolate lovers and well worth a visit when you are next in Norfolk. You can pick up a whole host of handmade treats from the shop, from chocolate skulls to heart-shaped lollies.

We have an excellent selection of Easter cottages in Norfolk that you can stay during the holidays, both coastal and country.

Cadbury World, Birmingham

Discover a purple extravaganza at Cadbury World in the aptly named Bournville. Uncover 4D adventures, watch how the most famous chocolate in the world is made and sample the goods too! It goes without saying that you simply must pick up some souvenir choccies at the World's Biggest Cadbury Shop - whether you leave them until you get home is up to you.

You will find this one difficult to leave.
