Tulips at Belmont Nurseries, Norfolk
Belmont Nurseries in Norfolk grow their tulips at a variety of sites (amounting to 550 acres in total) and their enviable fields of colour have featured on TV and in the national press.
The company is the last remaining large-scale tulip grower in the British Isles and is well-worth seeking out, especially as their flower fields are some of the best places to see spring flowers in the UK. Belmont is a wholesaler, and although you can’t buy their wares on site, you can find their tulips in local shops and at supermarkets.

Confetti at The Real Flower Petal Company, Worcestershire
Plan your holiday for when The Real Flower Petal Company’s confetti fields are in full bloom. Each year the short visitors’ window varies but the 7-10-day period generally occurs during late June and early July.
These flower fields in Worcestershire make for one of the most colourful vistas you will ever see in the UK. It’s like a carnival seen from a distance or a work of art by Claude Monet. The Real Flower Petal Company is the UK’s original confetti grower, and you can find out when to visit its flower fields on its website. If you time it right, a visit here is a magical experience.

Lavender at Cotswold Lavender, Cotswolds
You could double your luck if you are in the Cotswolds to see the aforementioned confetti fields on the Wyke Manor Estate, because this nearby beautiful lavender farm also welcomes the public to view their fields.
Cotswold Lavender in Broadway is a wonderful place for a day out when it opens for visitors each June. The best times to view the lavender are from early to mid-July when the flowers are at their peak. These richly fragrant, violet-coloured flowers are a true spectacle when seen growing en masse.

Strawberries at Lifton Farm, Devon
Created as a hare-brained scheme to introduce a strawberry field to Lifton in Devon, the locals said it could not be done. But 20 years on, Strawberry Fields has become a successful enterprise and local attraction that draws in thousands of visitors per year to pick strawberries and enjoy the bounties of the farm shop and the harvests.
Strawberry Fields also has PYO (Pick Your Own) sunflowers and pumpkins too. Enjoy picking your mouth-watering red strawberries; it’s a great family day out - perfect for getting some photographs!

Pumpkins at Cairnie Fruit Farm, Fife, Scotland
Cairnie Fruit Farm in Cupar of Fife in Scotland is a superb choice for a day out. Take your camera to capture the legions of orange pumpkins come autumn time. It’s a real spectacle and a sheer joy to capture and harness these fine specimens of pumpkin for your social media feeds. Elsewhere on Cairnie Farm, there is the Maize Maze (which opens every July) which is, as the name suggests, a maze sown from maize crops. It’s very eye-catching and great inspiration for the all-important Instagrammable shot!

Poppies at West Pentire, Cornwall
A few miles further west of Newquay in Cornwall, the poppy fields of West Pentire draw photographers from far and wide. Head there early in the summer to see an explosion of red and yellow as poppies and corn marigolds gild the landscape with their riotous hues. It’s a memorable sight among many along the North Cornwall coast.
The area of West Pentire is managed by the National Trust but is not an ‘organised’ attraction as such, with no facilities or car parks. The poppy field is within walking distance of the South West Coast Path, Holywell, and Crantock Bay. Please stay on the footpaths so as not to trample these endangered wildflowers.
