This time of year is always exciting for the little ones so make the most of Kent this Easter with a fantastic range of family-fun days out. We've chosen three attractions on the South Coast that we think you will love!

Hever Castle

At Hever Castle, the historic childhood home of Anne Boleyn, you won’t find just any old Easter Egg Hunt, you’ll find the Lindt gold bunny hunt! Collect an activity pack, follow the clues around the gardens and find out where those bunnies are hiding! Along the way the little ones will learn about other wildlife living in the gardens and about the colourful spring flowers. When the trail is complete and the clue sheet is all finished they’ll receive their Lindt gold bunny reward! That’s not all that there is to do at Hever Castle. You can make Easter bonnets and enter them into a daily competition, see displays of rare hens and bunnies and relax to the sound of a live band.

After all that Easter fun you can then explore everything else that Hever Castle has to offer. The kids will love chasing you along the corridors and dead ends of the Yew Maze and the Water Maze is even more fun, with jets of water ready to soak you as you pass by!  Once you’ve found your way out you could hire a boat or a canoe, or perhaps you would prefer to take the 20 minute African Queen Steamboat trip!

Hever Castle is a great option for all the family – even the dog! Your four-legged friend is welcome into the grounds as long as he is on a lead. If you wanted to visit the castle there is a handy area in the courtyard where he can wait for you!

Hop Farm Family Park

For the ultimate family day out over Easter, you will not go wrong with the popular Easter Fun at the Farm. This fantastic attraction is a hit at any time, but at Easter it really comes to life! Not only will entry be completely FREE but there will be countless activities on and off throughout the weekend. You can stroll around the Easter market and the kids can take part in the Easter egg hunt to win chocolaty treats! There will also be a bouncy castle, bumper boats and outdoor play areas, which will be great if the kids still have loads of energy. Hop Farm is perfect for a picnic, with plenty of outdoor seating where you can relax as the kids play – don’t worry if the weather isn’t playing ball, there are plenty of undercover areas including the Shires Inn and Hopper’s Diner and Soft Play Area.

Other attractions include a 4D cinema, Hopper’s Animal world where you can meet the baby animals, Bird of Prey Zone and even a driving school for little ones and a magic castle. Does that sound like a fun-filled day out? We’re pretty sure it’ll be a hit with the children and you!

Kent Life Heritage Farm Park

It’s an exciting time of year for any farm park with the arrival of new baby animals. At Kent Life Heritage Farm Park this Easter you’ll be able to help bottle feed the lambs and goat kids, and meet the piglets and calves. The little ones won’t want to miss out on daily feeding sessions of goats, alpacas and donkeys and of course, don’t forget to take a donkey ride as well! There is also, junior quad rides, chicks in cuddle corner, tractor rides and if the little ones are still bursting with energy let them run around the play area!

Easter weekend itself is set to be a fun-filled few days with lots of extra activities going on, including face painting, a coconut shy, the chance to meet the blacksmith and, most importantly, you might be able to spot the Easter bunny! Not only that, there will, of course, be an Easter egg hunt and there is the opportunity to paint your own ceramic egg.

If that isn’t enough for you, don’t forget to check out the water zorbing, the vintage village and for the adults, enjoy the nostalgic old farming traditions and explore the colourful Kentish gardens.

Throughout Kent and the South Coast there are loads of fantastic family days out that are perfect for Easter weekend, these are just three we like the sound of! Stay in one of our Kent cottages and explore all the fantastic days out the county has to offer.
