    2) The Dragon Reptiles Experience

Waterloo House, Brewery Terrace, Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, SA69 9HG

Get hands on with the exciting reptiles at the Dragon Reptiles Experience near Tenby. Meet lizards, snakes and spiders and learn some fantastic facts about these creatures and their habitats.

An hour long reptile experience will introduce you to a variety of amazing critters including dragons, geckos, tortoises, lizards, snakes and hairy spiders! There's even a Haunted Critter's Trail to wander around if you can keep your nerve!

When you get a little peckish, take a short stroll to Frog Street down the road and visit “Top Joes” an award winning restaurant featuring a menu of handmade pizzas which have been awarded the certificate of excellence by trip advisor.

For more information, please visit The Reptiles Experience website.

    3) Thousand Islands Expeditions

Cross Square, St Davids, Pembrokeshire, SA62 6SL, UK

On a fine day, head for the coast and choose from Thousand Islands Expeditions fantastic range of boat trips centred around the wildlife-rich island of Ramsay. The island is protected by the RSPB and Thousand Islands Expeditions have the sole landing rights.

On any given day you're likely to spot seals, seabirds, porpoises and a whole range of other interesting marine wildlife. Take a jet boat trip, opt for a high speed boat or even go whale and dolphin watching!

When your feet are firmly back on dry land, head inland to the city of St. David's for a bite to eat. The Refectory Café is a good option if you want to combine sight seeing at the famous cathedral with a delicious meal.

For more information, please visit the Thousand Islands Expeditions website.

    4) Ocean Lab

The Parrog, Fishguard Harbour, Goodwick, Pembrokeshire SA64 0DE

Land lubbers beware, as the Ocean Lab in Goodwick features some of the most exciting marine life Wales has to offer. From fish to octopuses, molluscs to crabs; all the animals here at the registered Sea Trust exhibition are local to Pembrokeshire.

Not to worry though, as their fantastic teachers and researchers will help you and the family to dive further than ever before, with lessons on the marine life here taking place in the brilliantly designed 'yellow submarine' classroom, complete with TV and fact files on all the animals here at the centre!

For more information, please visit the Ocean Lab website or Facebook Page, or browse the Sea Trust website.

    5) Welsh Wildlife Centre

    Cilgerran, Cardigan, Pembrokeshire, SA43 2TB

Come on down and see the many bright and beautiful creatures that Wales has to offer from ospreys to otters at this half charity-run organisation! The most important thing about their organisation however is the serious side to it, being part of a charity, and with the help of donations, they maintain the area, and this, in turn, allows the natural wildlife of wales to thrive.

The kids will love it, and so will you! Observe the animals, get lost in the willow maze, spot ospreys on their new osprey platform and top it all off with a tasty sandwich bought in their very own glasshouse café!

For more information, please visit the Welsh Wildlife Centre Website.
