A beautiful indoor swimming pool and sauna for exclusive use are a couple of the highlights of this gorgeous cottage, which sits amidst the rolling countryside of the Holme Valley, close to the edge of the Peak District National Park. It’s the perfect base for adventurous families or a small group of friends.

When the sun is shining, head out to explore Holmfirth and its connections to the TV show ‘Last of the Summer Wine’, and if the weather turns, it’s a good excuse to enjoy a relaxing dip back at base, before stretching out for the evening in front of the wood burner. Bliss!

Spacious and dog friendly, with tons of enclosed space for pups to run free, Springfield House is a wonderful family property within a few miles of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Kicking back in the sunny conservatory is a wonderful tonic after a scenic ramble in the locality, in the company of your four-legged friend.

What’s more, there’s a piano and some board games to keep the whole family entertained, and the option of hiring a hot tub to make the holiday relaxation complete!

Another jewel of a find in Robin Hood’s Bay, and a neighbour to Granary Cottage (above) is Swallow Cottage. The pair make up two of our most popular cottages in Yorkshire, and when you peek inside the quirkily decorated interior of this little hideaway for two, it’s not hard to see why.

Colourful paintings and retro accessories create a welcoming atmosphere, added to by the warming wood burner and stylish claw-foot bath which invites you to luxuriate amongst the bubbles.

A bubbling private hot tub promises relaxing evenings beneath the stars at this lovely converted barn in North Yorkshire. There’s plenty of space for a family and their two pets to spread out and enjoy holiday freedom, and lofty ceilings, stone floors and luxurious touches make it even more special!

Two huge bedrooms, a wood burner and a piano are but a few of the property’s outstanding features. To top it all off, you’re invited to collect your own eggs from the hen pen on the owners’ farm on which the barn is located. Breakfast sorted!

“Great family week in Maran Cottage. This is a great base with lots of different spots to visit and we went in all directions including Saltburn, York, Helmsley, Milton and Ingleton. The cottage has everything you need, and our kids really enjoyed visiting the rabbits and chickens as well as plenty of games of table tennis in the barn. Cute and cosy, with traditional features oozing cottage charm, this little sandstone cottage set in the heart of ever-popular Robin Hood’s Bay is a lovely choice for a small family or two couples. A stable door from the colourful kitchen gives way to a leafy cobbled courtyard, just right for a morning coffee while you make plans for the day.

Even the cottage-style staircase leading to the gorgeous double bedrooms is full of character, spiralling steeply upwards. The icing on the cake is the fabulous free-standing bath - a welcome treat after wandering up and down the hill from village to beach.

You might have to draw straws to see who gets the bedroom with the en-suite monsoon shower, but everyone’s a winner, as the bathrooms servicing the other bedrooms are just as luxurious.
