Set in a converted courthouse and police station, it boasts views across to the stunning Claife Heights - also a lovely spot for a dog walk with its pup-friendly viewing station over Lake Windermere. It's close to Coniston Water too, where you can hop aboard a steamer to see the lakes; it really is in the heart of some wonderful walking country.
