Taylor Swift is a force of nature in the entertainment industry. Nothing short of a cultural phenomenon, she has earned a reputation as a world-beating singer-songwriter, producer, director and businesswoman, with demand for her live performances causing ticketing websites to crash.
Taylor has achieved stratospheric heights of success. Her Eras Tour, which began in March 2023, is officially recognised as the highest-grossing music tour ever, becoming the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue. A concert film documenting the show is the highest-grossing concert film of all time.
In July 2023, Taylor unexpectedly revealed herself to be a fan of the Lake District and played a huge part in boosting tourism in the area when she sang her song ‘The Lakes’ on tour. The tune went viral on TikTok with more than 3.4 million views with the hashtag #thelakestaylorswift. Then this February, while accepting her fourth Album of the Year Grammy, this time for Midnights, she announced that her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, would drop on 19 April.
To coincide with the UK and Europe leg of the Eras Tour, we wondered what an AI-generated cottage based on each of Taylor’s albums/eras would look like. And if reading this inspires you to book a break, check out our full range of holiday cottages.
Holiday cottages in the UK
Taylor Swift (2006)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a country ranch | FLOORING: rustic wood | WALLS: white brick, decorated with landscape art | FURNITURE: denim sofa, coffee table, | EXTRAS: acoustic guitar, denim jacket, record player, gingham tablecloth | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, yellow background, physically based rendering
Taylor’s self-titled debut album was country to the core, reflected in the ranch-style aesthetic of the image created. An acoustic guitar sits ready and waiting for the young Taylor (she was just 16 when it was released and was still in high school when writing the tracks) reflecting the acoustic instruments incorporated into the album’s overarching sound.
Stay like Tay: The Priory, Norfolk | sleeps 12 + 2 dogs
Fearless (2008)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a rustic living room | FLOORING: white wood | WALLS: golden wood, photographs of butterflies and diamonds | FURNITURE: sofa, chair, coffee table | EXTRAS: white guitar, a diamond, butterflies, a window box with wheat growing in it | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft smooth colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, yellow background, physically based rendering --niji 5 --style expressive.
While technically defined as a country album, Fearless marked Taylor’s crossover into a more pop sound. The style was sparkly fringe dresses and ballgowns, with her lucky number 13 painted on the back of her hand. Our AI-generated room follows the gold and white colour palette of the album artwork, but perhaps lacks some of the youthful sparkle and sequins associated with the era.

Speak Now (2010)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a study | FLOORING: polished wood | WALLS: wood panels painted purple, decorated with vintage art | FURNITURE: bookcases, coffee table, sofas, drinks cabinet | EXTRAS: acoustic guitar, knitted sweater, record player, glamorous fabrics, fairies | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, purple background, physically based rendering
The defining colour of this era was purple, with Taylor gracing the cover of the album in a flowing, sparkly purple dress. AI has hit the mark on this point, with different shades of purple throughout. It’s a calm, contemplative space which we feel conveys the personal and confessional nature of the songs, written solely by Taylor. However, it doesn’t fully capture the theatricality of the era.

Red (2012)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of an autumnal sitting room | FLOORING: vibrant red carpet | WALLS: painted scarlet red and white stripes | FURNITURE: red sofas with knitted upholstery, coffee table, chairs, bookcases | EXTRAS: red lips, raincoat on stand, sequins | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft smooth colours, 1J0Omm lens, 3d render, red background, physically based rendering
With Taylor’s fourth album came a more mature sound and an edgier style. If it had a season, it would be autumn, which AI has accurately conveyed in this Red-inspired room. Stripes and shades of scarlet were key motifs of this era, with Taylor often opting for vibrant red lipstick. AI understood the assignment; it’s easy to imagine a red scarf strewn on the sofa.
Stay like Tay: Chapel of Art, Yorkshire Dales | sleeps 10 + 2 dogs
1989 (2014)
AI PROMPTS: Stylish 3D isometric view of an 80s New York loft apartment | FLOORING: rustic wood | WALLS: bricks painted light blue, cityscape photography in frames, large windows with blue sky outside | FURNITURE: sky blue sofas, coffee table, chairs, bookcases | EXTRAS: studio lights, metal staircase, seagull | THEME: blue sky with seagulls | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, cinematic colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, sky blue background, physically based rendering --niji 5 --style expressive
Arguably Taylor's most memorable era, marking her rise from country star to global pop icon. 1989 was her first full-scale pop album and coincided with her move to New York. Media attention reached a fever pitch as her looks and relationship status were ruthlessly analysed. The prompts for this New York-style apartment included a nod to the blue skies depicted behind a smiling Taylor on the album cover.

Reputation (2017)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a dining room | FLOORING: polished marble | WALLS: red and black tiling, decorated with gothic art | FURNITURE: black dining table, leather chairs, drinks cabinet | EXTRAS: snakes, glassware, lit candles | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, red background, physically based rendering
After a well-documented feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Taylor left the public eye for a while. Her comeback, Reputation, was unlike anything she’d done before: an album full of anger, vengeance and love, accompanied by sequined bodysuits, thigh-high boots and dark lipsticks. Taylor described it as “a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure”. This AI-generated dining room, with its romantic-Gothic overtones, fits the era well.
Stay like Tay: Sheafhayne Manor, Devon | sleeps 24
Lover (2019)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a modern living room with a vibrant fantasy positive feel | FLOORING: long fluffy carpet | WALLS: white, decorated with rainbows, butterflies and clouds | FURNITURE: sofas, coffee table, beanbags, chairs, bookcases | EXTRAS: rainbows, butterflies, clouds, stars | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, sky blue background, physically based rendering
Lover could not have been more different to Reputation: pretty pastel shades, bright colours and positivity at every turn. In the first few seconds of the video for lead single ME!, a snake (commonly associated with the Reputation era) transforms into a kaleidoscope of butterflies, symbolising this new, optimistic period. AI has used the rainbows and butterflies prompts to great effect in creating a room worthy of the Lover era.
Stay like Tay: The Gin and Thresher, Northumberland | sleeps 18
Folklore (2020)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a wood cabin with a fantasy feel | FLOORING: Wood | WALLS: wood, decorated with maps and pictures, | FURNITURE: sofas, coffee table, chairs, bookcases, maps, desk | EXTRAS: candles, fairy lights, ferns, globe | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, sky blue background, physically based rendering
Released as a surprise during the heights of the Coronavirus pandemic, Folklore saw Taylor leaning towards an alternative/indie pop vibe. It was an album rooted in more fictional narratives than we’d come to expect. Visually, Taylor opted for a woodland, ‘cottage core’ theme, which our AI-generated cabin sums up perfectly. The comforting fire and cosy table evoke the indie folk soundscape and autumnal feel of the era.
Stay like Tay: The Lodge at Glebe Farm, Devon | sleeps 6 + 4 dogs
Evermore (2020)
AI PROMPTS: Cute 3D isometric view of a modern cabin with a winter feel | FLOORING: wood | WALLS: wood, decorated with pictures and driftwood, | FURNITURE: sofas, coffee table, chairs, bookcases, spiral iron staircase | EXTRAS: fairy lights, huge windows | Blender render engine, soft smooth lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, white background, physically based rendering --niji 5 --style expressive
As winter follows autumn, so Evermore followed Folklore just a few months later. Being released so closely together, fans tend to treat them as belonging to the same era, and a continuation of Taylor’s indie-folk journey. While retaining the woodland, cottage core elements of Folklore, this album moves them into a wintery landscape. The AI cabin absolutely captures the winter theme: wood, trees, snow and a soft glow.
Stay like Tay: Cascade Cabin, The Highlands | sleeps 2 + 1 dog
Midnights (2022)
AI PROMPTS: Glamourous 3D isometric view of an 80s living room in the style of a roller disco using mainly brown colours | FLOORING: brown gymnasium floor | WALLS: brown wood panelling | FURNITURE: sofas, coffee table, jukebox, chairs | EXTRAS: disco ball, diamonds, fairy lights, stars, roller skates | Blender render engine, soft smooth bright lighting, soft colours, 100mm lens, 3d render, brown background, physically based rendering
Midnights is defined by Taylor as “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life”. It therefore contains elements of all her different eras, with strong nods aesthetically towards retro disco glamour. This AI-generated, roller disco-inspired room encapsulates this. The wood panelling here is reminiscent of that glimpsed in the video for Anti-hero, while the lavender hue created by the neon sign is a great touch.
Stay like Tay: The Skyscraper, Suffolk | sleeps 18 + 1 dog
