Wake up on Christmas morning to the sound of waves lapping on the beach with our range of coastal cottages for Christmas. Set close to some of the UK's most dramatic coastline and beaches, many of our coastal cottages even offer their own dazzling views out to sea.
The coast is a marvellous place to stay at any time of the year and fills your heart with wonder. So, when the magic of Christmas saturates the air, this warm feeling grows exponentially. Christmas is a time for family and friends, giving and receiving, fun and laughter…as well as food and drink! What better way to enjoy all these things than staying in one of our best cottages for Christmas.
Family Christmas breaks wouldn't be complete without getting together with the kids for some festive baking in your well-equipped cottage kitchen. Locations like North Devon provide perfect backdrops in which to whip up a batch of cookies or ice a Christmas cake.
Once you're finished baking and everyone needs to get some air, why not head to a local Christmas market? Now extremely popular, these gatherings of German sausage, mulled drinks and homemade crafts draw crowds every winter and they are an extremely social way of spending some quality time with your loved ones over some spiced nuts and a warming beverage.
Speaking of crafts, every Christmas home deserves a little handmade festive TLC in the form of jolly decorations. Get serious and tackle something a bit difficult like a Christmas wreath, or just spend some time with the little ones making paper chains of snowmen. Take your craft ideas with you visit the coastal delight of Tenby, with its three sandy beaches and rich harbour views.
It might be hard to find snow when you're close to the coast, due to that salty sea air, but fear not. We have ample coastal cottages that incorporate a great deal of rolling hills and countryside too. Take the Highlands for example, in Scotland. Beautiful scenery, stunning coastlines and plenty of snow-filled peaks.
After a fun-filled day exploring the coastline, it's time to settle in, grab a drink and play some games. The kids will be full of energy and Christmas spirit as you hide the magic key for Santa to find, before playing pin the nose on the reindeer and a classic game of charades. As night draws in, eyelids will start to droop, and you can all grab a restful night's sleep.
On the special day, embark on a scenic Christmas day walk from the doorstep, so gather your friends and family together for a festive break to remember with our amazing range of Christmas cottages above.
