Coastal cottages in Fife are the ideal place to unwind and escape your hectic pace of life. From small, intimate cottages to large, spacious homes, there is self-catering accommodation to suit your needs along the Fife coastline. Situated between the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Tay in Scotland, the Kingdom of Fife is steeped in historical interest, with castles and cathedrals aplenty. Its picturesque coast has rugged cliffs, rocky bays and sandy beaches, all of which sit against a backdrop of the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside. Also known as the ‘Home of Golf’, you’ll find over 40 courses in Fife, all with differing scenery and features. It’s also home to St Andrews University, which makes it popular with visitors.
Fife coastal holiday cottages offer guests the opportunity to appreciate the stunning coastline from their doorstep, including the flora and fauna. The Fife Coastal Path is a favourite with guests and has sections suitable for all abilities. It allows you to get up close to some of the beautiful seabirds and to see the basking sharks, seals and dolphins off the coast. You can also enjoy a boat trip to nearby islands, such as the Isle of May which has a nature reserve where you can see puffins. Other places worth visiting are Cupar, a quaint market town in the hills, and Falkland, a historic village with a ruined palace. You are also close to larger towns and cities, such as Dunfermline, Dundee, Stirling and even Edinburgh.
