Attractive cosy cottage in a tranquil location, just a short drive from foodie haven Padstow and close to many beautiful beaches.

This property is located in a countryside location, which feels a world away from the stresses of everyday life. However, despite its seemingly remote location, it is, in fact just two miles from Padstow, one of Cornwall’s most popular towns. Padstow has a reputation for the quality of its foods and this has been rightfully earned. Rick Stein is perhaps the town’s most famous resident and visitors will find it hard to miss his range of shops, restaurants, deli and fish and chip shop. There are also many other restaurants to try here, as well as the interesting National Lobster Hatchery and the opportunity to take a delightful boat trip across the estuary to the upmarket town of Rock, with its pretty beach.

This cottage is a real hidden gem and makes an ideal place to relax and unwind. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has an impressive exposed stone wall and a wood burner which keeps the house warm and cosy, whatever the weather. With TV and DVD to keep everyone entertained. Passing the dining area, guests will find the kitchen which has a lighter and airier feel, and is well-equipped with an integrated oven with hob and extractor hood, fridge with ice compartment and a butler’s sink. The adjacent utility area houses the washing machine and dishwasher. The shower room with WC is also located on the ground floor, as is the master bedroom: a double. The steep characterful cottage-style stairs lead to the twin bedroom, which, due to the style of the property, has low, sloping ceilings.

Outside, there is a garden with patio area, which has outdoor furniture and a BBQ, as well as a separate enclosed lawn. There is off-road parking for two cars on the property’s driveway. Guests may bring up to two dogs at an additional charge per dog of £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter. Should guests wish to book a stay for a larger groups, there is a sister cottage next door, The Old Mill (THOLM), which can sleep an additional four guests.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Very pretty cottage. Upstairs is quite small but its ok for children. The staircase is very narrow and you need to take care, I wouldnt recommend it for elderly people or people with limited movement. Very homely and we enjoyed our stay very much. The power shower was lovely. The cottage was clean and felt welcoming when we arrived. I would recommeRead morend this cottage, however, Walking into Padstow is only possible via the road with no path or across fields to a muddy path. Hide

A great little cottage, had everything we needed and our two dogs. Padstow is a 15 min walk through a camp site (muddy in winter) at night a short 5 min drive or taxi is easier. Will be staying again for sure. Cosy, great fire, quiet. Exactly what we wanted.

A great week in a fab cottage. Location is excellent, quiet and secluded. As nice as the walk across fields is there are 3 non dog friendly stiles to cross. 25Kg lifted over a wall on a muddy slope proved to be a one off experience. Given the parking in Padstow the Park & Ride next to Tesco is an excellent alternative. Overall comfort in the cottagRead moree is excellent but upstairs is really only suitable for young children. Only slight negative was the cleanliness of some of the kitchen equipment. Hide

A lovely cottage set in quiet surroundings yet easy to get to beaches and towns, loved the walk into Padstow. Would highly recommend the cottage and would love to stay again.

Lovely views from the cottage. Short walk across fields through the caravan park to Tesco and on into Padstow. Quiet and peaceful. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Second bedroom only really suitable for children and a second toilet would be ideal.

What a cool cottage. It felt very private but yet so quick to get into Padstow. Great for Surfaris as there were so many beaches close by.

Cottage is very quaint and tranquil. Location is ideal . Perfect place to get away from it all and recharge your batteries from a hectic life. Padstow fishing village is easy to get to and a wonderful place to have a coffee or food and watch the world go by. Dogs are very welcome everywhere and the beaches are so beautiful and dog friendly too.

Great location just outside of Padstow and near a supermarket. Very cosy cottage, perfect for couples and a dog with a lovely log burner and big sofas. All beautifully decorated and like a home from home. We all had a lovely time, especially our spaniel Ernest. Thank you.
