For my wife and I and our dog this was very nearly ideal. Only the close ness to the road was a little off-putting but not too much. It was warm and comfortable and the goodies provided on arrival were very welcome. For October we had both good and bad weather. Nearby and more adventurous trips were possible. Tamar Lakes, Bude and its beaches, BodmRead morein and Jamaica Inn, Dartmoor all enjoyed. Hide

Lovely cosy cottage, well-equipped with everything needed for a nice break. We really enjoyed our holiday here with our dogs. Great base for exploring Bude & surrounding area. The property is on a main road & garden is not secure enough to let small dogs off the lead. Neither of these factors affected us personally but might be useful for others.

An excellent location for North Devon and Cornwall. Cosy, warm, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely cream tea on arrival and the hot tub a real bonus. The owners were very welcoming but then let us be. Perfect for a relaxing break away from our busy lives. Highly recommended. We will return.

Soaking in the hot tub each night definitely helped with the relaxation! It was so nice to arrive to a lovely fire and a delicious cream tea waiting for us. TheRead more breakfast pack of home-produced sausages, bacon and eggs were really appreciated too. We were made to feel very welcome - thank you, Elaine! Hide

Excellent comfortable cottage for two. Great facilities. Two separate seating areas for when you need some space. Nice hot-tub and gardens. The main road is close so you can hear traffic so dont choose this place if you want absolute quiet but it certainly didnt bother us. Elaine was a fantastic host, provided what we needed, being there when we neRead moreeded her (in text contact and physically next-door) but was not intrusive in any way. Hide
