This property is in a quiet, rural location and yet is just three miles from the city of Truro, with its shops, cinema, and restaurants as well as the nearby National Trust-managed Trelissick House and Gardens, with its 300 acres of parkland. The surrounding region has much to see, with both coasts being easily accessible along with their wide range of beaches, including the vast Perranporth to the north and the tranquil Gorran Haven to the south.

Taking the tree-lined drive to this cottage, guests will immediately feel that this is somewhere really special for a couples’ break. The property itself offers a warm welcome, as soon as you enter the cosy and comfortable ground-floor open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area here has exposed beams, leather seating and a TV and DVD. At the far end of the room sits the dining table, whilst the kitchen area is located at the opposite end and is equipped with an electric oven, hob, and microwave. There is a separate utility which houses the fridge/freezer and washing machine, as well as a separate WC. Stairs from the lounge area lead to the first-floor bedroom, a light and restful king-size with a tastefully decorated en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from an enclosed garden with a summerhouse and outdoor seating, a wonderful place to enjoy the peace and quiet and perhaps an alfresco meal. There is off-road parking.

The Trap House was the perfect holiday cottage. Very well equipped and tasteful interior. It was surrounded by pretty cottage gardens. Great location for exploring Cornwall. A wonderful escape from busy every day life. The owner was very helpful sharing local knowledge and suggesting good places to vist. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

The cottage was comfortable and peaceful. The location was good for visiting different areas of Cornwall. It was just what we wanted for our holiday this time. However, you do need to be prepared to drive to all amenities.

the cottage was beautiful set in lovely gardens so quite and peaceful the entrance was down a tree lined lane with pheasants wandering about will definitely make a return visit
