A traditional cottage situated at the heart of Charlestown, a harbour village with an industrial past. This property is ideal for exploring both Charlestown and St Austell.

This cosy and traditional cottage is located in the heart of the harbour village of Charlestown. Charlestown was built between 1790 and 1810 to help build up the industry of exporting copper and clay, so it is rich in industrial history. The famous tall ships can be seen here, while the village has also appeared in several films and TV programmes. St Austell, the largest town in Cornwall, is just a few miles away, with a larger selection of shops, restaurants and cafes. The cottage is also the perfect base for exploring Cornwall, with attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan just a short drive away.

This property retains many of its original features, which include exposed beams and wooden floors. On the ground floor is the lounge, kitchen and dining area, which is all open plan, opening up the space on this level. The cosy lounge area features a TV/DVD and a wood burner effect electric fire, while the kitchen features a single oven with integrated dishwasher, fridge with freezer box and a washer/dryer. Up on the first floor, accessed by a steep, open-tread staircase, is the double bedroom, with further character added by the sloping ceiling. The bedroom also has an en-suite shower room with a WC. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, electric and electric heating are all included with this property, as well as a welcome pack to help you settle in.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

  • 1 double bedroom
  • 1 en-suite shower room and WC

We was very content with what Cobblers Cottage had to offer including everyday amenities i.e. washing machine and dishwasher. Although it was not overly big it suited our needs as a couple with a small dog which was cosy so therefore this was to our benefit. The bottle of Prosecco and Cream Tea was a very welcome gesture when we first arrived.

Cobblers Cottage is in an excellent location in the heart of Charlestown. It was immaculately clean and the welcome gifts were much appreciated. We loved Cobblers Cottage from the moment we stepped through the front door! So cosy and convenient, we were able to wander down the the harbour most evenings and take the beautiful coastal walk over to Porthpean. It was a very comfortable and happy place to stay, we didn't want to leave!

Lovely cottage in a harbour village, good base for walks and great selection for eating out, the one issue is the location of the cottage on a fairly busy road.
