Spacious detached property situated in a picture-postcard village. An ideal location for exploring southern Cornwall, with easy access to beaches.

Located 1 mile from one of Cornwall's quaintest coves, Gorran Haven with it's family friendly golden sandy beach protected by the old harbour wall. Offering some of the most stunning views along the South West Coast Path which is neaby, known to many as offering a taste of 'original Cornwall'. The cottage is 14 miles from the now world famous Eden Project and 2 miles from the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Caerhays Castle, gardens and beach are 3.5 miles away. Pentewan village is just a 6 mile drive, which offers a large sandy beach and cycle hire, to explore the cycle routes of Pentewan Valley. Mevagissey's picturesque harbour and narrow streets are the perfect setting for a visit with many cafes, restaurants and shops. Truro is 17 miles and offers something for everyone, with boutiques to department stores, mutli-screen cinemas and Cathedral. Charlestown, often used as a film set, is home to traditional tall ships, and Shipwreck Museum.

Approaching the property, guests will immediately get a taste of the impressiveness of this spacious detached house. The lounge/diner is a cosy and relaxing space with original features including the exposed beams and feature fireplace which now houses the wood burner (first basket of logs provided free of charge). We used this cottage for an early Christmas gathering with some friends, and the cottage was just so perfect for it. It's spacious, yet cosy at the same time. We were impressed at how well equipped the cottage was. We were able to cook a full Christmas dinner with everything that the kitchen was equipped with. We had a lovely break, the house was lovely and there was plenty of space for the seven of us. I would definitely recommend hillside cottage. The only thing we were disappointed with was that there wasnt a cream tea waiting as advertised. Definitely give the place 5 stars

Hillside cottage is in a lovely location, and a good size for a comfortable stay (there were 7 of us). There was a cream tea surprise on arrival which was very welcome, and the cottage was very clean, comfy and well appointed.

Absolutely lovely cottage, on a road which can get busy, but you get used to it.
