Romantic cabin in a quiet, rural location, within walking distance of the village of Luxulyan, just one mile from the world-renowned Eden Project.

This cabin is the perfect place to come if you want to get away from it all, situated as it is in a quiet location in the picturesque Luxulyan Valley. Located within 7 acres of meadows and traditional broadleaf woodland with a quirky hobbit hamlet and bell tents and abundant wildlife and private interactive woodland trail. The cabin is situated in its own private garden with a beautiful aspect across the valley. The location of the cabin is off a country lane which also leads to The Treffry viaduct/aqueduct of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The cabin lies 1 mile from Cornwall’s premier attraction The Eden Project and a little further afield, yet still within easy reach are The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the town of Newquay known for its beaches and surfing, and the pretty town of St Ives with its harbour, restaurants, and boutiques.

The magic starts as soon as you park your car, with a short level walk to the cabin through the woodland (wheelbarrows for belongings are provided for ease) leading you to the haven that awaits. On arrival at the property the open-plan lounge/diner is the main space in the cabin and is simply and tastefully decorated, in keeping with the general sense of calm here. The wood burner sits in the corner, keeping the whole place warm and cosy. The first basket of logs is provided and more can be bought from the owner who harvests them from the surrounding woodland, at a cost of £5 per bag. There is a TV and DVD. The kitchen is small but efficient, with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave. The shower room is also on the ground floor, with a corner shower cubicle and WC. A permanent ladder leads to the snug, platformed bed, which has reduced head room due to its location in the roof space. The bed here is a king-size and a window lies behind the head of the bed.

Outside, the property benefits from a veranda and garden, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals and those stunning views of the neighbouring woodland and valley. There is seating and a BBQ out here too. There is parking for one car a short walk from the property itself. Arts and crafts workshops are available on site throughout the year.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Great location, relaxing break away from the city and close enough to nearby Fowey for pubs, harbour and restaurants if required. Stunning view from the cabin and very friendly owners. Pet friendly and comfortable.

Fantastic location in beautiful woodland overlooking a lovely valley. Lots to see and places to visit in the area. The cabin was perfect, peaceful and rustic, just what we were looking for and I managed to light the wood burner everynight without the need for firelighters! We did struggle at first to find dog friendly beaches other than Par, but weRead more managed in the end. The local pubs were very welcoming and food was very good. Great holiday. Thanks. Hide

It was a perfect holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything you need and if it's beautiful views and peace you are after, it is ideal. Sitting out on the deck, cooking on the bbq and enjoying a glass of wine whilst soaking up the view across the valley, we didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely forest location for quiet escapes, obviously without WiFi, needed the Dyson heating and cooling fan as we had very warm weather. Air extraction and good ventilation with big windows was important this summer. We had a great time, thankyou to the owners.
