Escape to the heart of the countryside and enjoy the views from this pretty stone barn, enjoy your morning coffee with the visiting wildlife. Take in the grounds with a walk around the lakes.

This stone-built cottage is located in the grounds and to the side of the owner’s property with shared gardens and secluded seating area in peaceful countryside, the perfect romantic bolt hole, your privacy is assured. The local village has a local pub with restaurant and close by you will find the towns of Callington and Saltash. Cotehele House a National Trust property is a short drive and a must see for its stunning interior and grounds. Or why not wander the Tamar River to the unspoilt spot of Halton Quay. Further afield there are many local attractions to visit such as Dartmoor Zoo and Mowellham Quay or for a bit of retail therapy visit Tavistock or Plymouth. You may like to visit Bodinnick where you will find Ferryside, Daphne du Mauriers’ home where she wrote her first book. Experience what Cornwall has to offer such as hidden coves and beaches, fantastic sailing waters and cliff top walks.

Enter the cottage through the French doors into the lounge/kitchen/diner, where you will find there’s a door immediately to your right which takes you into the contemporary shower room with shower and WC. Back in the lounge area there is a comfy sofa, why not cosy up and watch a favourite film on the TV. There is a table for a romantic meal in the dining area and the kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven and two ring hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. From the kitchen area go through a door and step down into the cosy bedroom with king-size bed, from the window which frames the view of the lakes, ducks, wildlife and countryside beyond, you will be transfixed by a new view every moment.

Stepping outside you have your own area of shared garden with a secluded seating area where you can take in the views, or why not enjoy a walk around the lakes and visit the resident ducks. There are also plenty of places to enjoy a picnic overlooking or around the lakes. There is also private off-road parking available for one car.

A really lovely property owned and run by a delightful couple who could not have been more welcoming. Set in great location for exploring the Tamar Valley, we would most strongly recommend the Cider House for an outstanding holiday.

We were greeted very warmly on arrival and given excellent recommendations of places to go and local places to eat, which were really great suggestions - Cotehele house and it's beautiful surrounding acres was our highlight. We had the most relaxing time in this cute little cottage, ideal location, we visited Looe and Padstow, and it was great value for money over the Easter weekend. Lovely warm welcome, we loved the Scones & clotted cream! Would definitely visit again, lovely.

Diffrent environment if your from London or the city very cosy would recommend you visit when its summer as you get to enjoy the atmosphere and weather more food is nice in the pubs would visit again well recommended nice land lord and very welcoming.

We stayed here to celebrate the New Year. The owners were very welcoming and greeted us upon arrival - with champagne ready in the fridge and ice cubes ready in the ice box, they really had covered the little touches. After a recommendation from Andy we took a stroll to the Whod Have Thought It Inn and had a wonderful 3-course meal. A perfect rural escape to relax and unwind. The cottage itself was cosy and decorated wonderfully. Ideal location with lots of things to do and see a short drive away. Fab hosts who advised of everything from where to eat to where to visit. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely little cottage with beautiful views in a very quiet location. It is within an hour's drive of The Eden Project, Port Isaac and some of the lovely villages on the South Coast. It has everything you need for a lovely relaxing time.

We had a fabulous time! The owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. There was a delicious, locally sourced, cream tea for us on arrival and they even letting our baby play with their childs garden toys. There was a lot of information given about what we could do in the local area which helped us to plan our time.
