Stunningly converted barn situated on a 27-acre cattle farm within easy reach of Cornwall’s stunning coastline and within easy access of many attractions.

This rural property enjoys a tranquil location on a working farm and yet is only two miles from the small seaside resort village of Portreath, with its sandy beach and narrow harbour. The beach is popular with both swimmers and surfers alike, as are many of the other local beaches including Godrevy and Perranporth, which are both within easy reach by car. Many other attractions are a short drive away, including St Ives with its Tate Gallery, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project.

From the outside, this stone barn looks every bit the period property, however inside, guests will find it has been stunningly converted to a spacious and contemporary holiday cottage. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a great space in which to relax, with its comfortable sofas, TV with full Sky package and DVD. The kitchen area, to the rear of the lounge area, has breakfast-seating and everything you will need to prepare your favourite dishes, including a cooker, fridge, freezer, and microwave, as well as a washing machine. The bedroom is a king-size with plenty of storage space in large wardrobes, whilst the shower room has a large double-shower cubicle and WC.

Outside, there is an outside area with seating where guests can enjoy the peaceful location and guests are free to wander the 27-acre farm and see the animals. There is off-road parking provided on the farm.

Home away from home. Hosts were friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed sitting in the courtyard in the evening, sun setting, wine in hand, watching a small rabbit nibbling grass, birds singing, cows mooing. What bliss. Great place to stay.

The cottage was very well equipped, cozy and warm (we were there in the snow). This was our first time visiting this part of Cornwall and if we ever return, which is highly likely, then we will definitely return to Harris Mill Barn.

Beautifully thought out. The owners have ensured comfort throughout. With one of us being a little larger than average, we look for 3 things initially: Is the bed sturdy? Is the shower big enough? We couldnt find any fault with our holiday at all, it was a beautiful place to stay easy to get to different locations and luckily we had lovely weather. Harris Barn was one of the best we have stayed in, we had a lovely welcome pack beautiful yellow roses , choccy biscuits and a big bowl of fruit plus extra's. Fantastic property, we had fresh fruit, milk and flowers on arrival, its in a good location for exploring the area but you really have to drive everywhere. The Eden project is well worth a visit.

This was our second visit to Harris Mill Barn and was not disappointed. Exceptionally clean, well equipped, comfortable bed and great shower. Location is great for exploring the surrounding area. Milk, fruit and biscuits were provided on arrival along with flowers which was a lovely touch. Would definitely go again.
