This attractive one bedroom property is one of five properties, converted from former farm buildings nestled on a large 140-acre farm deep within the unique Cornwall countryside.

This secluded and bewitching, farm estate location is great for visitors with outgoing kids who love the great outdoors. The property is within easy driving distance from a good collection of excellent beaches and countryside footpath. The many visitor attractions in the county includes The Eden Project, Truro Cathedral, Poldark Mine and the Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary. The accommodation is approximately eight miles from the popular seaside town of Porthleven with its double harbour and formidable sea fortifications. There’s much to discover on the nearby Lizard like Goonhilly Downs, the Helford River, Frenchman’s Creek, and Lizard Point and Lighthouse, the most southerly tip of the British mainland.  
One arrival at the property you will find the open-plan, yet cosy, lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a TV/DVD and plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen area comes complete with an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher. There is also a WC on the ground floor. The bedrooms are situated on the first floor. The bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room with WC. Guests also have access to games barn that comes equipped a games barn, a pool table, and a table tennis set-up. On a shared lawn, close by, is a trampoline, a slide and swings.
Outside the property guests have an enclosed by a patio garden with a low wall and access to a shared larger lawn. Guest also have plenty of space for parking. An adjacent barn houses a washing machine and tumble dryer for use. Guests are invited to explore the surrounding farmland, watch the herds get milked of a morning and to see a hardworking farm establishment in action.
 

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A good central location for exploring south west cornwall. A very friendly and accommodating host. 5 miles either way to towns so in the countryside but not too remote.

We stayed in Melody Barton cottage, which was perfect for my fiance, myself and Ted our soppy Labrador. Made to feel extremely welcome with a lovely home made Victoria Sponge and milk waiting for us. Location great to get to North and South coastlines, with local store a 5 minute drive. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and we will be coming back to stayRead more in this cottage again! Very warm and cosy cottage, especially liked the homemade Victoria sandwich that was waiting for us when we arrived! A great base for exploring Cornwall.

I like the peace and quiet and good dog walking on the doorstep.The owners are very friendly and helpful.This is my third visit,a lot of people seem to come regularly.It suits me very well.
