The cottage is situated a short walk from the coast and has spectacular views from within the cottage. You can look out to see while eating breakfast at the table or relaxing on the couch which made this place really special. Very well equipped too which made eating in easy, this was essential as very little open in Scourie due to Covid

A very affordable option for a family of five. Clean and comfortable. Well located for a tour of the upper Highlands, with the added benefit of a decent village shop - and nice shorter walks locally. Nice beaches a short drive away (eg Oldshoremore). Very good WIFI speeds for this part of the world (around 18mbps this year). The electricity is on aRead more meter, so you need 1 or 2 coins (but thats good, actually, as it means you can manage your consumption). Hide

This cottage was ideal for the active outdoor person. You enter by a large "conservatory" area, ideal for leaving wet clothes and bags. The owners provide plenty of drying racks so we felt no need to use the tumble drier. This area would also be ideal for children's activities The kitchen was amazingly well equipped for a holiday cottage. The beds Read morewere better, that is firmer, than many we have experienced in holiday cottages although the mattresses were a little lumpy. The sunsets were amazing. Hide

A lovely location and the cottage was very comfortable and we'll equipped. The conservatory by the front door gets lovely and warm when the sun shines. However, we did find the electricity costs high, particularly if heaters are needed. Scourie is beautiful and we got in lots of quality birdwatching around the area.
