We loved the location, views and remoteness of this property. Everything was spot on, basic but adequate, warm and cosy and a perfect break away from it all. Clachtoll beach well worth checking out and Achmelvich is beautiful. Take plenty of logs for the fire!

Difficult to say. The cottage sits very close to another one. It has no views from the living room. It looks prettier than it is. No solid fuel at all provided so we left what we had leftover for the next guests.

Lovely cottage best suited for those who want to get away from everything, due to its beautiful location, ideal for walkers, but half an hour's drive from the nearest shop for milk, etc. Due to COVID nothing was in the house, no milk/coffee, nothing... so be prepared to arrive in Lochinver before shops close for milk, etc. No views from living roomRead more, but step outside the house into the garden and there is beautiful scenery. Well appointed, everything there that is needed for a comfortable stay. Hide

Complete peace and quiet off the beaten track was just what we needed. Cosy cottage was a gem and really comfortable, a home from home. Take plenty of food and fuel for the log burner and you'll hardly need to move from the spot. Picturesque drives to lovely beaches not too far away. The cottage is in a lovely location. The views are stunning. Everything we needed was to hand. Only critism is the single track road around the area was often plagued with other cars and often proved frustrating trying to get from place to place.

Cosy retreat in an amazing area. The cottage is secreted away above the Culkein beach, with coastal walks on the doorstep and some of the UK's best mountains and landscape close by. Don't miss the Jammery coffee shop/shed a few hundred yards down the road, Old man of Stoer sea stack, Kylescu bridge/pub and walks/biking around the mountains and coasRead moret of Assynt. Wonderful. Better phone reception than Lochinver , surprisingly. Hide

Reasonably well equipped cottage in beautiful, but remote location. Bringing your own linen, cleaning materials is a nuisance and ought to be reflected in the price.

We were looking for privacy and comfort amid the awesome situation of Assynt; the Old School House provided everything we wished for.
