Absolutely wonderful stay at kirkton cottage. The cottage itself is so homely and comfortable with everything you need. The views are outstanding as is the peace and quiet, with only the birdsong and sheep and lambs. The garden is amazing for the dogs, fully secure and lots of nooks and crannies to explore, kept mine amused for hours. Absolutely idyllic location, huge secure garden for dogs. Well equipped kitchen and modern comfortable bedrooms. Cottage itself is a bit dated and could do with some comfortable sofas and a bigger TV but if you are outdoorsy type people who will only need a base to sleep it is ideal.

Oh how we fell in love with Kirkton! The drive from Helmsdale increased the excitement on arrival day -and it did not get old! Have to say that mine & the dogs favourite room was the sun room and I can well imagine how much light & space it has added to the cottage. The whole house is much bigger than expected and there was more than enough room foRead morer two people and two dogs. The garden is huge and completely escape proof for dogs. And those views!!! We would love to stay again. Hide
