Cosy cottage in a quiet farmland location, close to the Devon/Cornwall border, within walking distance of the picturesque Tamar Lakes and a short drive from the local beach at Sandymouth.

This property is located in a quiet rural location on the Devon/Cornwall border, within walking distance of the Tamar Lakes, where visitors can enjoy fishing, scenic walks, windsurfing, and kayaking, there is even a fun children’s play area. Just seven miles away is the wonderful beach at Sandymouth, maintained by the National Trust, this is a fantastic unspoilt stretch of sand, surrounded by steep cliffs. Other places of interest in the area include Tintagel, the picturesque village of Port Isaac, and the family-friendly seaside resort of Bude.

This quaint cottage provides cosy accommodation for two guests, and the homely atmosphere can be felt as soon as they enter the property’s lounge, with its exposed beams, two comfortable sofas, and TV/DVD. The kitchen, with its tiled floor, offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and washing machine. A separate dining area provides guests with the perfect space to enjoy romantic meals, or a delicious breakfast. The open-tread wooden stairs which lead from the ground floor, bring guests to the spacious bedroom, where a king-size bed lies beneath the attractive vaulted ceiling, creating a restful and romantic retreat. An en-suite bathroom, just off the bedroom, has a shower over bath and WC.

Outside, the property benefits from a private, enclosed garden, where guests will find a BBQ and garden furniture. There is a parking place provided for one car, from where steps lead down to the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A beautifully clean and well equipped cottage. Very charming, cosy and warm. We were very comfortable during our stay. Excellent welcome goodies with everything needed for a cream tea - delicious scones. Very thoughtful provision of milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee.

This was a characterful cottage in which to stay, in a great area; very close to the Tamar Lakes and to the lovely North Devon and Cornwall coasts. The cottage was extremely clean which was very reassuring in the middle of a pandemic and the owners were very pleasant. We appreciated the cream tea and basic supplies. Good location. Very quiet but easy walk to Tamar Lakes and short car ride to coastal path and fantastic beaches around and above Bude. Great if you have a dog. Selection of food shops and takeaways in Kilkhampton and Holsworthy. Few steps down from parking and may not be suitable if disabled. Clean and comfortable cottage with a handy welcome pack. Near to Tamar Lake for dog walking. Not far from Bude and several beaches. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent cottage with everything you need, although this would not be suitable for people with mobility problems, as the steps down too the cottage are fairly steep. The owners Sara and John are very helpful, we lost wifi at one stage but after driving to Barnstaple they had the wifi working within 24 hours, great service. This is a delightful cottage in a great location. It was perfect for us as dog owners, as we were able to do lovely walks from the door and easy access to the dog friendly beaches a Bude. Theres lots to do in the area, but the cottage is also quiet enough for a secluded getaway. Nice and comfortable cottage, well equipped and peacefully located. The adjacent Tamar Lakes are ideal for walking, especially the Upper Lake that also has a good cafe.

Lovely cosy cottage in the middle of peaceful countryside, with only bird song and lambs calling to disturb the quietness. So many great places to visit in the local area. A pleasure to spend a week here.

Absolutely lovely property! Very comfortable stay! Was lovely to have milk in the fridge to have a cup of tea with the homemade scones that were left for us! A lovely idea! We will definitely book again and bring the family as they have two cottages next to each other!
