Property code: NORWO

Detached barn conversion property with a private hot tub, situated in a tranquil location in rural Devon, just seven miles from the beach at Instow, and seven miles from the bustling town of Barnstaple.

This property is ideal for guests who are hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, and relax in tranquil countryside surroundings. Although situated in a sleepy hamlet, the property is within a short drive of the town of Barnstaple, where there is a good range of shops and restaurants, a theatre, leisure centre, and a swimming pool. Nowhere is particularly far from the beach in Devon, and this property is no different, and there is a choice of lovely beaches within easy reach, including the pretty beach in the village of Instow and the impressively large sandy beach in Westward Ho!

This is one of two barn conversion properties which sit across from one another on a quiet courtyard. The ground floor of the property is an open-plan space, with open tread spiral stairs in the middle of the room, separating the lounge area from the kitchen/diner. The spacious lounge area is a welcoming and relaxing space with a contemporary feel, where guests will find recliner sofas, a woodburner, DAB Bluetooth radio, Freeview TV, DVD and Bose Home Cinema Surround Sound System (5 speakers plus subwoofer). The kitchen/diner area, set off to one side of the room, offers two seating areas: a six-seater dining table, and a breakfast bar which seats two. The kitchen area has everything that guests will need, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and radio. Taking the spiral staircase to the galleried bedroom, guests will find a pleasant space with a king-size bed and a dressing table. Just off the bedroom is a shower room with WC and on the opposite side of the stairs, a snug area.

Outside there is an enclosed, raised decked patio, with garden furniture and a BBQ, and the wonderfully relaxing hot tub. Off-road parking is available for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely barn conversion, with plenty of space, good location central to all popular spots, 15 minute drive to town centre. Private parking with gated off drive which was great for dogs. Dogs cannot go upstairs though, so if separation anxiety in pet a problem this would be a no. Owners very kind and welcoming.

We loved our holiday. Steve and Mandy were lovely in welcoming us and ensuring we made the best of our stay in the barn. You can see they're continually upgrading and working on the property with new mattresses, sofas etc which gives me so much confidence to recommend this place to stay for years to come.

We only stayed for two nights, and despite the weather not being the best we had such a lovely relaxing, cosy and comfortable stay. The owners were so lovely and welcoming on arrival and accommodating of our two dogs. The log burner and hot tub made up for the rain and when it did clear up we went for some lovely country walks or drives.
