One of two delightful properties found on a wonderful 50-acre site complete with friendly farm animals near to the Cornwall border. Ideal for families.

Situated in a delightful part of North Cornwall, the property enjoys some panoramic views over fields to the ocean. You will be perfectly positioned for touring Cornwall and North Devon and visiting the many sandy family beaches including Widemouth Bay (ideal for surfing), which is less than 3 miles by car. You will also be close to the many attractions which include Dairyland Farm World, The Rebel Cinema, the Bude sea lock and canal, the Eden Project, Clovelly Village, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and more. The area is famed for its walks namely the South West Coast Path. Many of these trails offer scenery of outstanding natural beauty.

Adopting an inverted design, this former barn retains much of the original charm, incorporating some features into its layout. On arrival, you will encounter the bedrooms first: one double and one twin. Upstairs on the first floor is an open-plan social area that includes a lounge, dining area and a kitchen. There is also a bathroom containing a shower over bath with WC. The lounge area centres around a TV/DVD and a wood burner to relax in front of, while there is also a hi-fi to listen to your favourite music with. Wood is supplied (one basket) for the fire between October and April. The kitchen area comes equipped with an oven, a fridge with ice compartment, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Laundry facilities are available by arrangement.

Step outside the property into the shared garden, where the property has its own picnic table and a handy BBQ too. There is also ample off-road parking very nearby. For children, there is a shared outdoor play area, and guests are encouraged to explore the grounds and meet the various animals that live there, such as the donkey, ponies, ducks and chickens.

The cottage was good upstairs in the loune and kitchen area. Unfortunately the downstairs had a strong smell of damp and the carpets had a chill to them. The beds were very comfortable. If the damp smell, downstairs, could be sorted then it would be a great cottage to stay in as the owners are lovely people. As it stands I would not recommend it unRead moretil the damp is fixed. A cosy, clean & comfortable cottage in a very practical location for getting to the many beautiful beaches & other attractions in the area. The cottage had everything we needed as a family of 4 & the hosts made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
