A beautiful , remote cottage in the heart of Devon on a working farm. No phone reception but good WiFi. Very comfortable beds, great shower and fantastic outside space (including heated pool, tennis net, swing / slide and plenty of grass. Worth mentioning it's a good hour's drive to most attractions / coast etc. Great holiday all round! Hide

Lovely quiet tranquil place, great garden which is a sun trap and very private, owners very nice and was welcomed with fresh picked flowers from the gardens and scones and clotted cream, who doesnt love a Devon cream tea. Very rural but that suited our needs, roads mostly single tracked so be careful and use your horn as a warning and watch out forRead more deep pot holes. Local village has everything youd need and central location to go out for days by the beach or visit to a castle ruin. Hide

I've just had a very enjoyable stay at The Stables at Beara Farm. It was very comfortable with modern and efficient central heating. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is nice with a good modern shower and plenty of hot water. There is no mobile signal on the farm but the wifi is very good (whilst varied it was often 12 - 16Mbps downloadRead more - so no problem streaming music / Netflix etc). There is a very good butcher and baker in Chulmleigh (about 2.5 miles away). Hide

Beara Farm is an absolute delight. The cottage was spotless, given the current COVID pandemic it was reassuring. The animals, outside heated pool and large play area is exactly what we needed. It is fairly remote, but this was just what we wanted. A fabulous holiday
