This property is located in a superb elevated position in Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast. The convenient location of the property means that many of the town’s attractions are within walking distance, such as the interesting aquarium, museum, unusual Tunnels Beach and the historic harbour which offers boat trips, including to Lundy Island. The town boasts a range of shops and a wide choice of eateries, including two restaurants one being a Michelin starred and another that's received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. Hillsborough Nature Reserve known locally as The Sleeping Elephant, forms part of the South West Coastal Path and is easily reached. Damien Hurst's Verity sculpture can be seen from the property protecting the harbour.

Guests enter this property through the porticoed front door, an attractive reminder of the property’s grand history. The spacious lounge/kitchen/diner is a beautiful space where impressive floor-to-ceiling bay windows offer stunning views to the sea cliffs and when clear Wales. Guests will also find a TV/DVD, and a warming wood burner in the lounge area, as well as leather sofas to relax on. A wide archway leads through to the kitchen/diner where a dining table is positioned in the window making the most of the breath-taking views. The kitchen area itself has everything that guests will need to make themselves at home, including an oven, hob, microwave, large fridge, freezer, dishwasher, a hi-fi and DAB radio. The separate utility room houses the washing machine and a handy additional sink. The property has two bedrooms: a spacious, stylish king-size room, with large windows and a contemporary en-suite bathroom with bath and a handheld shower and WC. The second bedroom is a cosy twin room, near to which guests will find a shower room with WC.

Guests will love the outside space that this property has to offer; an attractive balcony patio (accessed from the front door) with uninterrupted sea views. The owners have provided a table and chairs, so guests can enjoy alfresco meals or perhaps drinks whilst contemplating the magnificent sunsets. (please take care with children).

The view from the property is amazing . The main rooms are of lovely proportions and the high ceilings give a great feeling of space . Some maintenance needs addressing ,but undeniably an impressive property, with designated parking which is a real bonus in Ilfracombe.

The most beautiful apartment with breathtaking views over the ocean and harbour. I loved everything about this apartment, the beautiful high ceilings, the chandeliers, the history, it was a mix of old and modern and my absolute dream of an apartment. The building is very impressive with high ceilings, spacious open plan kitchen-diner and sitting rooms with breath-taking sea views, over the harbour and nearby hills and cliffs. We had a very comfortable stay. The apartment was wonderful! It was even more spacious than the photos suggested. The view was obviously the star attraction of this property but it was also well equipped throughout and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had slight reservations about the road noise but it wasnt an issue as the road is very quiet at night. Excellent apartment with very large main rooms and amazing views. It was very well equipped and comfortable. Everything we needed was available in the town, which is a short walk away. Access to many towns, villages and attractions is very easy. Although the apartment is located on a main road the traffic noise was not a problem. On site allocated Read moreparking was a big bonus, although anyone with a large vehicle may find the parking a bit tight, although we did not find it a problem. Hide

The flat is large and spacious with fantastic views of the sea and harbour. It is in a great location for visiting the immediate area on foot as well as being a short drive from many more places of interest; such as Woolacombe, Westward Ho!, Lynton and Lynmouth. Gorgeous view. Huge apartment. A home from home. Need to tell people in description that it is a tight car parking space, was fine for us and one of reasons we booked, but a bigger car may struggle. Would book again.

To all new guests at this property please ignore all the pathetic negative comments in the visitors book.The place is perfect,the facilities,equipment,the floor space etc,and then you have got the VIEW wow. We think the worst comment was the person who scratched his car ,if you cannot reverse into the car park space hand your licence in.

Very nice apartment with a fabulous view of the harbour entrance to watch the boats coming and going... Well equipped and the heating was very good on our cool April break. Private entrance and an allocated parking space, you do need to reverse in off the road to be able to make a safe exit. Nice walk through the hillside gardens but very steep bacRead morek for anyone not able bodied, plenty of parking down at sea level though so no need to walk. This apartment has a real wow factor. It is a lovely mix of original Victorian features coupled with modern living. The views out to sea and across the harbour, from the almost floor to ceiling windows are fantastic and uninterrupted. Very well positioned for access to the many stunning walks in the area plus the town and all it's facilities. The pRead morearking space is a bit tight but you do get used it. A gorgeous North Devon escape! This apartment is a beautiful sanctuary with amazing bay windows looking out to Ilfracombe and the coastline. The open plan lounge and kitchen was even larger than the photos had us believe. It was a lovely space to relax in and enjoy the ever-changing views. Oceans edge was perfect for us as my mum is disabled. Parking right at the door and all on one level. Stunning views, immaculately clean and very well decorated and comfortable beds. It has everything you need!

Its mostly about the view at Oceans Edge, and I have say that it is fabulous. Generally there's plenty of room inside (although the single beds can be a bit small for adults). The log basket was empty, so if youre planning to use the Wood Burner make sure you being kindling and logs. It doesnt actually throw much heat out, but does add to a cosy wiRead morenter ambiance. Some cushions for the sofas and hard dining chairs would also help. Overall we had a lovely time especially on the coastal walks. Hide
